Factory Partitions and Industrial Curtains Across Europe

Written by Heidi Croson | Sep 7, 2026, 1:07:05 PM

Businesses across Europe looking for factory partitions, industrial curtains, or warehouse partitioning need more than a product delivered to their door. The partition has to fit the building, work around existing machinery and structures, and perform properly once installed.

Hutchinson’s manufactures bespoke Tension Wall and Slida-Curtain systems in Derbyshire, for factories, warehouses and industrial sites across the UK and Europe.

Depending on the project, we can either send our own installation team to fit the system on site or manufacture and supply everything required for installation by your own team.

Factory Partitions And Sliding Curtains Across Europe

We are expanding our export coverage across mainland Europe, Ireland and the Nordics and can support projects in countries including:

  • Germany
  • France
  • The Netherlands
  • Belgium
  • Poland
  • The Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • Sweden
  • Norway
  • Ireland
  • Switzerland
  • Italy

If your factory or warehouse is elsewhere in Europe, contact us with your location and project requirements. Our export coverage is continuing to expand, and we may be able to support projects outside this list.

Whether you need to create a separate production area, control dust, improve temperature control, or divide a large warehouse into smaller working zones, we can design a system tailored to your site's requirements.

Manufactured In The UK And Installed On-Site

Every partitioning system is designed and manufactured at our workshop in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

Where the project allows it, we send our own installation team to your site in Europe rather than simply supplying a kit and leaving installation to a third-party contractor.

It is the same installation team responsible for our projects across the UK, meaning the system is installed by people who work with our products every day and understand how they should be fitted.

This is particularly important in warehouse partitioning, where systems often need to work around existing pipework, steelwork, machinery, doors, and other features within the building.

Using our own installation team also reduces the risk of drawings being misinterpreted or the finished installation not meeting the original specification.

The typical lead time to get an installation team on site is around 6-8 weeks from job confirmation.

Supply-Only Factory Partitions And Industrial Curtains

Not every European customer needs our team to complete the installation.

Where a customer's own maintenance, engineering or fit-out team will handle installation, we can manufacture the system to specification and supply it as a kit.

Installation videos and manuals are provided to guide your team through the process.

This gives businesses that already have suitable installation resources a straightforward way to source bespoke factory partitions, industrial curtains and warehouse partitioning directly from a UK manufacturer.

Products Available For Export

 Tension Wall

Tension Wall is our fixed fabric partition system designed to divide large factories, warehouses and industrial buildings into separate areas.

It can be used for factory and warehouse partitions, helping businesses create dedicated production areas, separate processes, control dust, and improve temperature management in large open spaces.

Each system is manufactured to suit the individual building rather than being supplied as a standard-sized partition.

Slida-Curtain

Slida-curtain is our track-mounted sliding industrial curtain system.

Unlike a fixed partition, the curtain can be closed when segregation or containment is required, then pulled back to reopen the space.

This makes Slida-curtain particularly useful for businesses that need flexible separation rather than a fixed divide.

Why Use A UK Manufacturer For A European Factory Partition Project?

Working directly with the manufacturer means the system can be designed around the building rather than relying on a standard product or an installer who is unfamiliar with the system.

For European factories and warehouses, this can be particularly valuable where a project involves:

  • Large or unusually shaped spaces
  • Existing steelwork or pipework
  • Vehicle or pedestrian access
  • Production areas that need to remain operational
  • Dust or process segregation
  • Temperature-controlled zones
  • Flexible access between working areas

Our systems are made to measure, allowing the partition or curtain to work around the existing site rather than requiring the building to be adapted around the product.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Information Do You Need To Quote For A European Project?

To get started, we usually need your site location, approximate dimensions, photographs or drawings of the area, and a brief explanation of what you want the partition or curtain to achieve.

What's The Typical Lead Time To Get An Installation Team On Site?

Typical lead time is around 6- 8 weeks from job confirmation, although this can vary depending on the project, location, and installation requirements.

Do You Provide Support If We Install It Ourselves?

Yes. For supply-only projects, we provide installation videos and manuals to guide your team through the installation process.

Is The Product Range The Same Abroad As It Is In The UK?

Our European range currently focuses on Tension Wall and Slida-curtain, with plans to make our full product range available across Europe in the future.

Can You Install Around Existing Machinery And Steelwork?

Our systems are made to measure, so projects can be designed around many existing features within a factory or warehouse. Send us information about your building, including dimensions, photographs or drawings, and we can assess what is required.

Get A Quote For Your Site

If you are planning a factory partition or industrial curtain project in Europe, speak to our team.

Tell us your location, the approximate size of the area and what you need to achieve.

We can then advise whether Tension Wall, Slida-curtain, or another system would be most suitable, and confirm whether your project is better suited to installation by our own team or to the supply of a kit for local fitting.
